Creed Peirce to Represent Tennesse in U.S. Presidential Scholars Program

LA Senior Christopher Creed Pierce was recently selected to represent TN in the U.S. Presidential Scholars Program. Two students from each state and 15 at-large students are selected as presidential scholars each year; these will be named in May. The U.S. Presidential Scholars Program was established in 1964, by executive order of the President, to recognize and honor some of our nation's most distinguished graduating high school seniors. Each year, up to 161 students are named as Presidential Scholars, one of the nation's highest honors for high school students. Creed was selected based on his high ACT composite, his grade point average, his completion of both AP and DC/DE courses, and his extracurricular and leadership activities. Creed is President of the Senior Class at LA, has a 4.29 GPA, a 33 ACT composite and has passed both AP(Advanced Placement) and DC (Dual Credit) tests as well as completed the most demanding courses offered at LA including several DE(Dual Enrollment) classes.

Congratulations and we are all very proud of you!
