About Me

Welcome!

I hope everyone is ready for the 2023-2024 school year!  I am so excited to begin my 13th year of teaching at Livingston Academy.  

 

I am a 2002 LA graduate and went to Tennessee Tech for my Bachelor's degree in Human Ecology (concentration in Food, Nutrition, Dietetics).  I began working at the UT Extension in Livingston and part of my job consisted of me going into the Overton County schools where I taught nutrition classes. I worked there almost 6 years. I was ready for a change and was offered a teaching position at Livingston Academy. I began teaching Family and Consumer Science classes, then eventually transitioning into the business/marketing world. 

 

At LA, I am currently one of the FBLA (Future Business Leaders of America) advisors and a co-advisor of the yearbook.  

 

Some of my favorite things to do is travel, spend time with my family, watch my kids play sports, I love trying new restaurants and going to the beach.  

 

I currently live in Allons with my husband James and our five children: Emery, Harper, Cash, Turner and Gaines.
