Per TCAT: Comments on 2/15/24 Exposure Incident

Please see the comment below from the Tennessee Board of Regents regarding an exposure incident that occurred today at the TCAT Livingston campus.
"Earlier today, a student arrived for class feeling sick and, when directed to go home for the day, reported that she had been in off-campus contact with a person with measles. TCAT Livingston contacted the Department of Health, which consulted with the student’s healthcare provider and reported to the college that the student had been vaccinated for measles and there is little threat of exposure on campus. However, the college followed the Health Department’s guidance by dismissing students from that wing of the building, and is deep cleaning the wing. These measures are taken out of an abundance of caution for the health of all our students. As a result, the college’s cosmetology and aesthetics technology classes will be online-only Friday. We will update the TCAT community when the Department of Health provides us with more information."
