Livingston Academy was honored to receive a visit from Tennessee Secretary of State Tre Hargett and State Representative Ed Butler today, April 30th. Secretary Hargett presented the Anne Dallas Dudley Gold Level Award. Per the Tennessee State Department website, "Named in honor of the renowned Tennessee suffragist, the Anne Dallas Dudley Gold Level Award is given to high schools that register 100% of the eligible students to vote." Miss Jodie McDonald oversaw the registration process at LA and was recognized in the ceremony. Likewise, State Representative Butler presented LA JROTC instructors Sgt. Deming and Col. Reed with the Tennessee House's resolution acknowledging the school's addition of the military prep program. We are so proud of our teachers and students for earning these honors, and thank you to Secretary Hargett and State Representative Butler!
