I am pleased to have the opportunity to be the Health Science teacher at Livingston Academy. I am beginning my eighth year in the classroom and continue to love teaching your children. I graduated with an associate degree in nursing from Tennessee State University in 2010, and prior to that I was a Licensed Practical Nurse for 16 years. During my transition into the classroom, I gained a Professional Occupational Teacher’s License in 2019 from Tennessee Technological University. I have a strong passion and love for nursing and enjoy the opportunity to teach your child.
The courses offered at Livingston Academy are Health Science, Anatomy and Physiology, and Clinical Internship. These courses are for students interested in pursuing a health care career after high school. They are designed to help students obtain a better understanding of health care careers, basics of healthcare, and the structure and function of the human body. Each topic is curriculum based and all classes are taught in a professional manner, therefore all students are expected to always remain mature and accept this as part of the health science curriculum.
I am a wife, mother, and my new favorite name - GiGi! My husband and I have four children and our grandson Warren James Harris who turned “1” in April of 2023 –and we love spending every minute we can with him. We are all Livingston Academy graduates and our blood runs “blue.” I am excited to have your child in class. I look forward to meeting and talking with you this semester.
