Football tickets for Friday, September 18th game will be sold in the front office beginning Tuesday, September 15th from 9 AM to 2 PM each day until they are sold out. Limit is 5 per person.
Students if you receive a library slip sent to you, please do not throw it away. If you have the book just return it to the library and if there are any questions, see Mrs. Padgett. The library is open! Come check out some fabulous books!!
Prospective Beta Students, If you have not picked up your invite and paid your dues, you have until Tuesday, September 15th to do so.
September is APP Month for LA Seniors. All LA seniors are encouraged to apply for at least one college during the month of Sept. Vol State and TCAT Apps are FREE. GEAR UP is covering APP fees for those seniors who apply for TTU by Sept. 15. Thank you to our Senior Seminar teachers for working with seniors on all the apps for college and guiding them through this process.
Also, LA has 167 seniors who have completed their TN Promise application. TN Promise is the program that gives all graduates 2 tuition free years at any TCAT or community college and some 4 year colleges. If you haven’t done this, please see Ms. Farris or your counselor to complete the TN Promise App. The list of those the state is showing completing TN Promise is posted outside Ms. Farris office and is updated daily—seniors-make sure your name is on that list.
Gaming Club will meet each Friday after school in Mr. Street's room. For details, ask Mr. Street.
ACT Prep meets on Tuesday and Thursdays with a session from 3-5 and a session from 5:30-7:30. ACT Prep will meet on Parent Teacher Conference night. There is only 5 weeks left until the October ACT testing season; if you want to prepare to do your best on the ACT see Ms. Farris, Ms. Kessel or Ms. Williams to join ACT Prep after-school!
Project Graduation has applications ready for Senior Parking Spot painting day. See Mrs. Coffman in her office to pick up an application. Apps are due back by September 24. The painting day is set for Saturday, October 10.
