LA Teachers and Students Help Prepare New Student Devices

Through the Elementary and Secondary School Emergency Relief (ESSER) 2.0 Fund, Overton County Schools has invested in cutting-edge devices that will be made available to students this fall.  The device is a Surface Go 2 tablet that has digital inking capabilities.  Digital ink is the ability to write on the device with its digital pen.  This natural input will allow students to take notes on top of digital presentations, webpages, or even video.  The Surface Go will replace the older, less capable google chromebooks and provide students with a wider range of tools to be more creative with their assignments.

Today LA teachers and students came to help the district IT department finish up the preparation of the new devices.  The district IT team has worked very hard on provisioning and completing inventory of the over 900 devices that will be deployed across the district.  The hard-working team of teachers and students processed the 400 devices going to Livingston Academy all in one day!
