Reminder: LA will be hosting this semester's parent-teacher conference TOMORROW from 3:00 to 6:00. We hope you'll join us!

Our Geometry students recently put their skills to the test by designing and building scale-model birdhouses and doghouses out of popsicle sticks!
Students used what they’ve learned about length, area, surface area, and volume to create their own plans, determine material needs and costs, and then bring their designs to life. Along the way, they worked together to problem-solve, plan, and build according to their own calculations.
We love seeing our students take what they learn in the classroom and turn it into something they can see, build, and be proud of.

Homecoming Day 2, themed "Road Work," was a huge success! Participation among students, faculty, and staff was massive, as the photos demonstrate. The day was made all the sweeter when 1806 BBQ donated meals to our teachers. Thanks to everyone for a great day! See less

It’s National Athletic Administrator Appreciation Week, and Livingston Academy sports would not be possible without the efforts of LA athletic director Todd Wright and Overton County Schools athletic director Lesley Riddle. Both individuals put in countless hours on the job and are real champions for our students and community. Please join us in showing appreciation to these two!

Congratulations to our attendance winners for this week: William Barlow, Aaliyah Vasquez, Lilliana Howell, and Noah Jones! Thank you to Life Church for supplying each of them with Sonic gift cards!

Last week, Livingston Academy students had the opportunity to attend the Upper Cumberland College Fair at Tennessee Tech University. Throughout the event, students met with representatives from colleges, universities, and postsecondary programs to learn more about admission requirements, academic majors, scholarships, campus life, and career opportunities. Experiences like these help our Wildcats explore their interests, consider future goals, and gain valuable insight into the many pathways available after high school. We are proud of the curiosity, professionalism, and engagement our students demonstrated throughout the day and are grateful for opportunities that help prepare them for success beyond Livingston Academy.

LA students will be bringing home a household survey this week. Please take a moment to help our school by completing and returning. All students who return the survey by Friday will have their name put in a prize drawing.

The last day to register for the September 19 ACT at LA is September 1. Head to ACT.org for details on registration.

Livingston Academy students may be eligible for an Industry 4.0 diploma distinction upon graduation. For more information, check out the flier below or email Teresa Johnson at teresajohnson@oc-sd.com.
