Livingston Academy was formally recognized in Tennessee AP Access for All's (TNAPAA) latest newsletter! Founded as a partnership between the Tennessee Department of
Education and the Niswonger Foundation, "this program was," as their site outlines, "created to eliminate financial barriers and support student enrollment in AP coursework not currently offered at their home high school." TN APAA's January newsletter featured the following:
"We’re proud to recognize Livingston Academy for its outstanding commitment to expanding academic opportunities for students. In partnership with AP Access for All and the Niswonger Foundation, Livingston Academy launched AP Academy, a dedicated Program of Study for ambitious students. Last year, eight students graduated from the AP Academy, including one who completed an impressive nine AP courses. With support from APAA, 45 students passed AP exams and earned college credit, and a more targeted student placement in AP courses helped boost the school-wide pass rate from 31% to 63% in 2025.
Livingston Academy said AP Access For All has fundamentally shifted the culture with seniors now actively choosing challenging AP courses to prepare for college, demonstrating true academic rigor and readiness.
We’re so proud to celebrate Livingston Academy’s students who are rising to the challenge and taking full advantage of opportunities for college credit and academic excellence."
Thank you to the teachers, students, and parents that made this honor possible. Together, WE are LA!
